He was predeceased by: his parents, Terence Monahan and Elmira Monahan (Eggleston); his sons, Dennis R. Jr. and David W. Monahan; and his brother Terence M. Monahan, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Sharon E. Monahan; his daughter Dawn-Marie Turner; his grandchildren, Ashley Zabulis (Paul), Partick Monahan (Holly) and Sarah Monahan; his great grandchild Maebel Monahan; and his brother Gerald Monahan (Bruce Tackling).
