Hilda Ford Obituary
Uncasville - We celebrate the life and loving nature of Hilda Ford (nèe Millan), 80 of Uncasville, Connecticut.
Hilda was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and grew up in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Sara Millan. Hilda was a graduate of Washington Irving High School and later the Drake Business School in NYC. Throughout her long career, she was a valued team member at Berkshire Hathaway NYC and later at HR Learning International in Stamford, CT. Her entire life centered around her family and those she loved. She was a devoted wife of 24 years to Robert (Peter) Ford. In retirement the 2 traveled often, making certain to be present in the busy lives of their children and grandchildren. Hilda was always front and center at baptisms, graduations and holidays. Her entire home was a proud display of countless photos of her grandchildren through the years.
Hilda was a loving mother to daughters Ann-Marie (husband David Carleton), of Bloomfield Hills, MI and Diane (husband Andrew Kotkin), of Frederick, MD and doting grandmother to Cameron, Hannah, Christian, Michael, Charlotte and Evan, whom she always referred to as her "angels". Hilda's grandchildren will miss receiving "Grandma's fiver", a 5 dollar bill she included in their birthday cards each year. Over time, Hilda's family grew to include step-children Donna Santorella (husband Vincent) of Norwalk, CT and their family, Melissa, Vincent, JD, Lilliana and JJ, Jeffrey Ford of Boca Raton, FL and Dale Ford, Emma and Christopher of Cape Coral, FL.
Hilda is survived by siblings Sylvia, Gladys, David and Denise and their families and pre-deceased by her brother Raymond.
A celebration of Hilda's life will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9-11 am at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Home, 11 Jerome Road, Montville, CT 06382. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 am at St. John Church, 22 Maple Avenue, Montville, CT 06832.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Connecticut Humane Society.

Dale Ford wrote a sympathy message
