He was predeceased by: his parents, Josef Ettl Sr. and Elisabeth Ettl (Windl). He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his son Joseph Ettl; and his grandson Matthew Ettl.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Woyasz & Son Funeral Service - Uncasville (11 Jerome Rd, Uncasville, CT 06382). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (52 W Town St, Norwich, CT 06360).
