He was predeceased by: his parents, John Marek and Catherine Marek (Roman); and his siblings, Ann Nadeau, Janet Weber and John Marek.
He is survived by: his children, Richard P. Marek, Jr. (Lindsay) of Prospect and Laura Gorman (Gina) of Weatogue; his sister Patricia Burwood of Unionville; and his grandsons, Mason, Bradley, Levi and Asher Marek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
