He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Loalbo and Lillian Loalbo (Haller); his grandson Richard D. Loalbo, III; and his siblings, Mary, John, Edward, Margaret, Catherine, Helen, Rosie, William and Robert.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Loalbo (Dischert); his children, Donna Douglas (Loalbo) of Rockland, ME and Richard D. Loalbo, Jr. (Rita Verschueren) of Silver Springs, FL; and his grandchildren, Gregory Willis (Kelly), Michael Willis, Benjamin Tweedie (Renee Landry) and Andrea Hoffman. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). The military honors was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bernard Cemetery (12 Tolland Ave, Vernon, CT 06066).
