It is with sadness that the passing of Stanley J. Rice of Vernon, Connecticut is shared. Stanley, born on February 10, 1935, passed away on September 23, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sally Rice (McGovern); his parents, Joseph Rice and Victoria Rice (Zinker); and his brothers, Edward Rice and Thomas Rice, Sr..
He is survived by: his children, Louise Collins (Dana) of Willington, Joseph Rice of Winsted and Elizabeth Beaudoin (Guy) of Stafford Springs; his grandchildren, Leah Chapman (Matt) of Feeding Hills, MA, Adam Morse (Kaitlyn) of Andover, Garrett Beaudoin of Stafford Springs, Paige Beaudoin of Stafford Springs and Cassie Smith Greer of Florida; his great grandchildren, Mason, Madeline, Emma, Carson and Avery; and his siblings, Marjorie Purcell (Robert) of Little River, SC and Patrick Rice of South Windsor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home (551 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
