He was predeceased by: his father Andrew J. Cafiero, Sr.; and his brother Paul Cafiero. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Cafiero (Ponzillo); his mother Antoinette Cafiero (Giordano); his children, Anthony Cafiero (Denise) of Guilford and Andrea Cappiello (Davide) of North Haven; his grandchildren, Christopher Cafiero (Sabrina Diaz), Alexandra Cafiero (Brendan Murphy), Gabriella Cafiero, Ava Rose Cappiello and Marcello Cappiello; his brother Mark Cafiero (Jean) of Florida; and his aunt Theresa Giordano. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the B. C. Bailey Funeral Home (273 S Elm St, Wallingford, CT 06492). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Vincent DePaul Church (80 Taylor Ave, East Haven, CT 06512). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 3:45 PM at the Final Resting Place All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
