He is survived by: his mother Alicia Vélez (Cruz); his children, Daniel Vélez, Jr. (Neal Leigner) of Northfield, VT, Devon Vélez (Esmeralda García) of San Diego, CA and Delilah Rios (Victor Barajas) of Vista, CA; his siblings, Carmen "Mimi" Morales (Ray) of Meriden, Virgen, Peter Vélez (Lucy) of Texas, Wilson Vélez (Janet) of Waterbury, Orlando Vélez (Nancy) of Phoenix, AZ and Marcelino Vélez of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Devon Eiza Vélez, Emory Dia Vélez, Juan Rios, Azaliah Barajas and Layli Barajas; Patricia Warquist. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
