He is survived by: his wife Evelyn VanDerMaelen (Kammerer); his grandchildren, Joey, Matthew, Alyssa, Stephen and Jenna; his brother Roger VanDerMaelen of Alabama; his great grandchildren, Paisley and Elijah; and his son Michael A. VanDerMaelen.
