She was predeceased by: her husband Roger M. Eckels; her parents, Duncan MacKenzie and Annie MacKenzie (Martin); her daughter Judith Derrick; her son-in-law Kenneth Derrick; her brother Gordon; her sister-in-law Jean MacKenzie; and her son-in-law Walter Moore.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Eckels (Mary Ellen) of Wallingford and Karen Moore of Durham; her sister Evelyn Casey of California; her grandchildren, Christopher Eckels of Wallingford, Jonathan Eckels of New Haven, Alecia Bohan (Branden) of Burlington and Erika Brady (Robert) of Southington; and her great grandchildren, Emilie Brady, Lauren Brady, Rosalee Brady, Cody Bohan, Jaxon Bohan, Grace Bohan and Liberty Bohan. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Yalesville Funeral Home (386 Main St, Yalesville, CT 06492). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Yalesville United Methodist Church, 8 New Place Street, Yalesville, CT.
