He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Clark Kavanaugh; his son Colin Kavanaugh (Deirdre McDonald Kavanaugh); his grandchildren, Molly and Seamus Kavanaugh; and his siblings, Timothy Kavanaugh (Mary Alice) and Kathleen Allard (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
