He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kerelejza and Natalie Kerelejza (Wyshnowsky); and his siblings, Byron Kerelejza and George Kerelejza (Colleen). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen (Giannelli); his grandchildren, Andrew, Evan, Sophia Rossi and Annaveigh Kerelejza; his sister Travon (Neil Zomback); Gregory Walter Kerelejza Jr. (Jessica Kerelejza) of Middletown, Connecticut..
