He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Rice (Camic); his parent Carroll; and his siblings, Neil M. Rice, Howard Rice and Ruth L. Morgrage.
He is survived by: his children, David Rice of Arizona, Donna Cain (Mike) of Wallingford, Debra Rizzo (James) of Berlin and Danny Rice (Stacey) of Arizona; and his grandchildren, Joel Kuczynski, Tyler Grimes, Brett Boardman (Samantha), Sarah Rice (Israel), Morgan Rice (Ashley), Maya Rice (Ryan), Ashley Rice, Sam Rizzo and Brenda Rizzo. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild; as well as numerous extended family members and cherished friends.
