She was predeceased by: her husband Warren S. Young; her parents, Charles Szad and Gertrude Szad (Docker); her daughter Cathi MacKenzie; her sister Mildred Grady (Jack); her nephew Charles Grady; and her brother-in-law Charles Bell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Walton (Phil) of Wallingford and Shelley Mongillo (Bill) of Wallingford; her son-in-law Michael MacKenzie of Florida; her grandchildren, Hayley Whalen (Brian), Philip Walton (Allison), Ryan Walton (Courtney), Geoffrey Mongillo, Allison Jones (Joe), Allen Hubener (Melanie) and Warren Michael O'Bannon (Janine); her great grandchildren, Charlie, Olivia, Sam, Brian, Joey, Hannah, Troy, Shane and Jace; and her sister Ethel Bell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
