He is survived by: his wife Judith Ruggiero (Stopkoski); his children, Karen Lovington (Wayne) of Guilford, Joseph Ruggiero (Sabrina) of Sheffield, MA, Christopher Ruggiero of Wallingford, Thomas Ruggiero (Theresa "Terri") of Wallingford and Carol Dallas (Daniel) of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Julianna Lovington, Aimee Lovington, Sydney Ruggiero, Olivia Ruggiero, Caitlyn Strongin (Andrew), Christopher Ruggiero, Cameron Ruggiero, Adam Ruggiero, Zachary Ruggiero, Rachael Ruggiero, Benjamin Ruggiero and Alicia Dallas; his stepgrandchildren, Christopher Dallas and Caitlyn Dallas; and his brother Robert Ruggiero (Lois).
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A funeral service was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the St. John Cemetery (401 Christian St, Wallingford, CT 06492).
