He was predeceased by: his parents, Salvation Army Majors John and Elva Edeen (Hillstrom); his grandson Karl "Niko" Ryan Edeen; and his sisters, Ester Johnson, Ruth Edeen, Judith Enquist, Jeanette Anderson and Violet Ljungquist.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Edeen (Ekbladh); his children, Lars O. Edeen Jr. (Mary), Laurie Harris (Scott Harris) and David J. Edeen (Pamela B. Edeen); his grandchildren, Lars O. Edeen III, Cody Edeen (Nathalie), Erik Edeen (Jessica), Kirstin Thomas Wright (Michael), Camden Thomas (Jessica), Yngwie Edeen (Wiltssey), Malcom Edeen, Satchel Edeen, Summer Edeen, Lily Edeen and Russell Edeen; his great grandchildren, Luella, Rosalie, Brooke, Anja, Matthew and Carmen; his brother John Edeen (Mary Ann); and his niece Mona Lauen (Markusen). He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Salvation Army or a donation of Blood to the local blood bank.
