He was predeceased by: his parents, Santos Rivera and Gregoria Cuevas. He is survived by: his siblings, Heriberto Rivera, Jose Rivera, Santos Rivera, Julia Torres, Teresa Colón, Josefina Rivera, Iris Rivera and Rosa Padilla. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
