It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phil Hagele (Wallingford, Connecticut), who passed away on May 3, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Corcoran Hagele; his parents, Philipp Hagele and Ana Meyers Hagele; and his siblings, Barbara Boyd (Harold) and Frank Hagele (Beatrice).
He is survived by: his children, Linda Read (Gaylord (Guz)) of Wallingford and David Hagele (Renee) of East Haddam; his grandchildren, Steven Read (Tracy) of Wallingford and Michelle Sepulveda (Michael) of Wallingford; his great grandchildren, Cory, Brynn, Carly Read, Brianna and Carissa Sepulveda; his friend Geraldine Tommaselli of North Haven; his cousin Carol Kelleher of Guildford; and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Corcoran of North Haven and Doreen Corcoran of North Haven.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wallingford Funeral Home (809 N Main Street Ext, Wallingford, CT 06492). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
