The memory of Richard J. Strickland of Wallingford, Connecticut, who passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 86, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Strickland and Elwyn Strickland; and his brothers, Allan and Elwyn Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughters, Elaine Pellegrino (Dan) of East Hampton and Amy Gates (Rusty) of Montverde; and his grandchildren, Emma, Bennett Pellegrino, Aidan and Finn Gates.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the The Manor Inn (1636 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Plantsville, CT 06479).
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the woodworking shop where he spent many happy hours.
