Steve T. Zafiris Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steve T. Zafiris of Wallingford, Connecticut, who passed away on November 24, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodosios Zafiris and Aglaia Zafiris (Karotis); and his siblings, Pantelis, Spyros, Thomas Zafiris, Ourania Katsis and Roussa Vokolos.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Zafiris (Panos); his children, Theodore Zafiris (Raysa Castillo) of New York City and Lizabeth Haskos (Nicholas) of Guilford; his brother James Zafiris (Roula) of Wallingford; and his grandchildren, John Haskos (Prapti), Elaina Haskos (Anis Dizdarevic) and Steven Haskos (Aerin). He is also survived by six great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Ronald McDonald House in New Haven, St. Basil's Greek Orthodox Church in New Haven, the YMCA of Wallingford or to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Hartford.
