It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Helga Hershey of Washington, Connecticut, who passed away at the age of 90, on October 2, 2025. Though Helga may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Helga touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ilse Alden and Alfred Alden; the father of her children Maurice Stevenson Gould, Jr.; and her husband Peter Hershey. She is survived by: her daughters, Suzanne Gould and Nina Gould.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Salem Covenant Church (96 Baldwin Hill Rd, Washington Depot, CT 06794).
