He was predeceased by: his parents, Bronius Melninkaitis and Eugenija Melninkaitis; and his brothers, Raymond (Eve), Vidas (Jolanta) and Bruno Melninkaitis (Doeneshia).
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Melninkaitis (Stanley) of Waterbury; his children, Michael Melninkaitis (Lisa) of Plainville, CT and Brenda Melninkaitis of Hamden, CT; his grandchildren, Christiana Melninkaitis, Michael Melninkaitis, Jr. and Antonio Melninkaitis; and his siblings, Eugenija "Jeannie" Mueller of Southington, CT and Thomas Melninkaitis (Nerija) of Waterford, CT. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
