Assunta Carbonaro, born on August 15, 1945, passed away on October 8, 2026. Assunta leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Giovanni Carbonaro; her parents, Carmelo Buscema and Giovanna Buscema; and her son Anthony Carbonaro. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Eamon, Ella, Timothy, Nicholas, Christopher, Andrew (Diana) and Adrianna (Christopher); her sister Giuseppina Mavilla; her nieces, Giovanna Mavilla (Nicastro) of Sicily and Lucia Mavilla (Muriana) of Sicily; and her cousin Rosetta Cirinna of Canada. She is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (74 W Main St, Waterbury, CT 06702).
