He is survived by: his wife Irma J. Swain-Mays (Sledge); his children, Debra Hayes (George) of Waterbury, CT, Cheryl Mays and Charles Mays Jr. of Tampa, FL; his grandchildren, Shayla Duckett-Roberts and Shawn Dansby; his great grandchildren, Kyra Dunbar-Kemp, Kyron Dunbar and Olivia Roberts; and his brothers, Jacob Mays Jr. (Laura) of Buffalo, NY, James Mays Sr. (Hazel) of Brunswick, GA and Archie Mays (Hattie) of Buffalo, NY. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
