He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Samela and Vera Samela (Boucher). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Samela (Rossi); and his sons, Daniel W. Samela Jr. (Diana) of Waterbury and Robert "Bob" Samela of Waterbury.
