Bernard (Gilbert); his parents, Andrew Bernard and Marie Bernard (Brown); his son Dennis Bernard; his stepchildren, Dawn Schuster of Torrington and Robert Hoyt (Lya) of Terryville; and his siblings, William "Bill" Bernard, Ronald "Ronnie" Bernard, Andrea Gurney, John Bernard and Patricia Flynn. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
