He was predeceased by: his parents, John Valinksky and Rose Valinksky (Yackosevich); his great grandchild Mateo Ismael Valinsky Morales; and his sister Maryanne Brickett. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Valinsky (Genga); his children, Craig Valinsky (Maria) and Jeannie Valinsky (Wilson Apollo); his grandsons, Matthew Valinsky (Martha) and Joshua Valinsky; and his brother John Valinsky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
