He is survived by: his parents, Rosa L. Calderin and Ismael Ortiz; his wife Elba J. Ortiz; his children, Lilliam, Elysa, Carlos and Rosa-Luz Ortiz; his sons-in-law, Brandon Ellis, Daniel Canto-Melo and Micah Daniels; and his grandchildren, Danyela, Josiah, Eliana and Kamila. He is also survived by four sisters, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
