He is survived by: his parents, James Hinton Sr. and Theresa Porwhisky; his children, Jaimie Hinton, Jason and Julian Hinton; and his sisters, Tonya Hinton and Leatrice Scott. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
