James left this world on November 3, 2025 at the age of 57, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Witkowski and Donna Witkowski; and his sister Elizabeth Witkowski. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Cook; his stepchildren, Amanda Solla of Waterbury, CT and Thomas Golymbieski of Prospect, CT; his grandchildren, Mackenzie and Clayton of Waterbury, CT.; his siblings, Mary Witkowski of Shelton, CT, John (Kim) of New York and Joseph (Carolyn) of Prospect, CT.; his father-in-law Francis Cook of Prospect, CT; and his in-laws, Cheryl Cooper (Charlie), Susan Yammine (Ed) and Father Raymond Cook. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim's name may be made to MrCsVoice Nonverbal Autism and AAC Community Inc. This organization was created for his grandson to bring awareness to nonverbal autism and AAC communication to establish a fund in memory of Jim to ensure autistic children have the ability to experience "farm life".
