The passing of Janet M. McDonald of Waterbury, Connecticut leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on September 26, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her husband John J. McDonald; and her parents, James McCarthy and Mary McCarthy (Mulhern). She is survived by: her children, Sandy McDonald of Waterbury, Kristy McDonald of Waterbury, Mary Nieves (Arthur) of Prospect, John of Monroe and Jimmy McDonald of Waterbury; and her grandchildren, Brendan McDonald, Karisa, Lt. Eric Zamy, Donovan and Ryan Nieves.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care (1987 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Church (625 Baldwin St, Waterbury, CT 06706).
