It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Ann Volpe (Waterbury, Connecticut), who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Thompson and Dora Thompson Sr. (Broughman); and her siblings, Henry Jr., Larry, Robert, Lucille Malloy and Shirley Malloy.
She is survived by: her husband Benjamin Volpe; her children, Daren Volpe Sr. (Donna) of New Kent, VA, Janine Clarkson (Steven) of Cheshire and Kristen Bradley (Jeffrey) of Plantsville; and her grandchildren, Tara Thompson (Tommy), Daren Volpe Jr. (Becca), Bryn Clarkson, Kyle Bradley and Jillian Bradley. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, close family friends and special neighbors.
