John R. Gagain Obituary

It is with sadness that the passing of John R. Gagain (Waterbury, Connecticut) is shared. John, born on February 15, 1952, passed away on September 17, 2026. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John R. Gagain to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond J. Gagain and Angeline "Dolly" Rosado (Gagain); his cousin Walter Williams; and his close friend Walter Sherman. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Gagain (Gambino); his children, John R. Gagain (Vivian Nunez Gagain) of Alexandria, VA, Nicholas Gagain (Kaitlynne McCue) of Oakville, Joseph Gagain (Gabby Mastrocola) and Lenore Gagain (John) of Plantsville; his stepson Raymond Rinaldi of San Francisco, CA.; his grandchildren, John Raymond, Eric John, Aiyanna Rayline, Raymond John, Benji, Liam and Avaiya; and his niece Jaymie Webster. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maiorano Funeral Home (95 Willow St, Waterbury, CT 06710). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Pius X Church (517 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott, CT 06716).
