He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Griggs and Aldona Griggs (Rice); and his sister Janet Griggs. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Griggs (Lafreniere) of Waterbury; his daughters, Christine Griggs of Wolcott, Michele Griggs of Wolcott, Jennifer Guzzardi (Frank) of Bristol and Michelle Remele (Richard Griffin) of Mount Dora, FL.; his sister Margaret Geary of Waterbury; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, Dominic and Jacob.
