She was predeceased by: her parents, John Stefanopoulos and Eleni Stefanopoulos (Kosmopoulos); and her siblings-in-law, Spiros Velezis, Demitri Stathopoulos and Dina Stefanopoulos.
She is survived by: her husband John H. Nicholas; her children, George Nicholas (Jennifer) of Surfside Beach, SC and Elaine Hychko of Waterbury; her siblings, Aristo Stefanopoulos of Malakasa, Chris Stefanopoulos (Vickie) of Amenia, NY, George Stefanopoulos (Vickie) of Amenia, NY, William Stefanopoulos (Katina) of Amenia, NY, Peter Stefanopoulos (Olga) of Amenia, NY, Theodora "Lola" Velezis of Middlebury and Vaso Stathopoulos of Aigio, Greece.; her grandchildren, John Hychko (Shannon), Louis Hychko (Jamie), John H. Nicholas, Yanni, Demitri Nicholas, Matthew Tutolo and Brian Nicholas (Adele); and her great grandchildren, Joseph, Lorraine Hychko, Logan Hychko, Blair and Isla Nicholas. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (937 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made Mary's memory to either.
