He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cocchiola and Maria Cocchiola (Deli Veneri); his wife Clotilda Cocchiola (Lombard); his daughter Donna M. Cocchiola; and his brother Robert Cocchiola.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Cocchiola, Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, FL and David Cocchiola (Barbara) of Prospect; and his godson Bobby Cocchiola of Myrtle Beach, SC.. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren.
