He was predeceased by: his parents, Oneal Cyr and Giuseppa Cyr (Grosso); and his sister Karen Doran. He is survived by: his wife Angela Cyr (Marano); his sons, Dante Cyr of Bethlehem, Austin of Waterbury and Domenic Cyr of Waterbury; and his siblings, Dennis Cyr of Waterbury, Joseph Cyr of Naugatuck, Richard Cyr of Old Lyme, Debra Grappone of Waterbury and Maureen DosSantos of Waterbury. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
