She was predeceased by: her parents, Salvatore Lanza and Lena Lanza (DeCola); and her son Valentine J. "VJ" Scolese. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Scolese of Georgia; her grandsons, Steven McCormack, Dylan McCormack, Jacob McCormack and Joseph Scolese; her siblings, James Lanza (Claire) of South Carolina, Richard Lanza (Joan) of Waterbury, Sam Lanza, Jr. of Quaker Hill and Marianne Eggleton (David) of Wolcott; and her friend Ruth Rodriguez.
