He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenz Ertl and Erika Ertl; and his brother Peter Ertl. He is survived by: his wife Lynne Ertl (Stockbridge); his daughters, Dawn Ertl (Russell Chamberlin) of Wolcott, Leslie Perrotte (Chad Perrotte) and Allyson Ertl of Naugatuck; and his brother Klaus Ertl (Judy) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.
