He was predeceased by: his wife Laura J. Diaferio (Stiscia); and his parents, Richard Diaferio and Mary Diaferio (DeTulio). He is survived by: his children, Richard C. Diaferio, Jr. (Cheryl Lane) of Waterbury and Mary Ann DeMichele (Antonio) of Waterbury; his grandsons, Pasquale DeMichele (Teresa) of Plymouth, CT and Joseph DeMichele of Middletown, CT; his brother Joseph Diaferio (Shirley) of Naples, FL.; and his sister-in-law Marion Diaferio (Graziano). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
