He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Gillis, and Lucy Gillis, Sr. (Romananskas); his daughter Alexandra Gillis; and his brother Joseph J. Gillis. He is survived by: his daughter Erika Gillis; the mother of his child Alberta Arens; his grandchildren, Andersen (Adeline) and Taylor Gillis; his pets, Ruby and Spazzy; his brother Paul Gillis (CarolAnn); his nephew Joseph Gillis (Joelle) of Waterbury; his sister Valerie Rinaldi (Rich) of Little River, SC; his sister-in-law Patty Gillis; Lisa Lerz.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilda's Hero Fund, an angel fund established to help families who cannot afford life-saving veterinary care.
