He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Simpson and Rose Simpson (Monti); and his brothers, Donald and Michael Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Minerva Simpson (Marriott); his sons, Danny Detento Simpson of Waterbury, Richard Simpson, Jr. of Waterbury and John Simpson of Waterbury; and his siblings, James H. Simpson of Waterbury, Joseph Simpson of Waterbury, Lester Simpson of Waterbury, Theodore Simpson of Waterbury, Charles Simpson of Wolcott, David Simpson of Thomaston and Antoinette DiNicola Lucas of Waterbury. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
