He was predeceased by: his parents, Van L. and Louise Snyder (Finn); his sister Jane S. Gingras; and his nephews, Gerry Van Gingras and Timmy Finn O'Connor.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Snyder (Wallace); his children, Kristen J. Snyder of Boston, Van M. Snyder (Suzanne McNamee Snyder) of Pelham, N. Y., Matthew W. Snyder (Jessica Lee Snyder) of Easton and Hanna Snyder Gambini (Steve) of Waterbury; his grandchildren, Jonah V. Snyder, Elizabeth Gambini, Ryan Snyder, Nathaniel Snyder, Lucien V. Gambini, William Snyder and John Snyder; and his sibling's children, Suzanne, Geff, Maggie, Matt, Patrick, Katie, Mary Sarah, Chris, John, Brendan, Emmett and Cheryl. He is also survived by several great nieces, great nephews and a great-grand nephew.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care (1987 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception (74 W Main St, Waterbury, CT 06710).
