He was predeceased by: his parents, John Downs and Frances Downs (Dzinsky). He is survived by: his sister Mary Downs (Thomas Walsh) of Washington, DC; his nieces, Sarah Downs Walsh of Charlestown, MA and Julia Downs Walsh (Rory Francis) of Charlestown, MA; and his nephew Benjamin Downs Walsh of Washington, DC..
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home (430 Chase Pkwy, Waterbury, CT 06708). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Calvary Cemetery (2324 E Main St, Waterbury, CT 06705).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in William's memory to: An animal rescue charity or an environmental charity of one's choice.
