He was predeceased by: his parents, John Macchia and Pauline Macchia; his son John; and his brother-in-law Mario Olivieri. He is survived by: his close friend Louise Macchia (Bienvenu); his wife Louise; his daughter Teresa Caneira (John) of Southington; his grandchildren, William Caneira (Jennifer) of Mansfield and Laura Caneira (Howard Camolli) of Southington; his great grandchildren, Matthew, Alyssa, Sophia and William; and his sister Marie Olivieri of Southbury. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
