Lois Dempsey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Dempsey of Waterford, Connecticut, who passed away on February 15, 2026 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Ledyard Strickland of Quaker Hill and Perla Hunt Strickland of Essex; her husbands, Robert R. Thomas and Jerome J. Dempsey, Sr.; her siblings, Vera Adair, Dora Adair, Audrey Trask McCormick, Edith Steward, Ralph Strickland, Winnie Myers and Lawrence Strickland; her son James Murphy; her close friend Alberta Davis; Norm Davis.

She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Thomas and Karen Dempsey; her granddaughter Rachael Dempsey (David Campagna); her nieces, Carol Adair Munch and Linda Paduano Iacono; her nephew Bobby Myers; and her friend Connie Stoddard.
