He was predeceased by: his parents, Surgest P. Aker, I and Blanche M. Grimstead Aker. He is survived by: his siblings, Darnell A. Aker of New London, Surgest P. Aker, II (Emily) of Huntsville, AL, Majolie L. Aker and S. Dedra Aker of New London; and his siblings' children, Gregory J. Goode, Jr. (Dawn), Jahmal Young, Leisha Y. Aker and Erin Mason (Cain). He is also survived by six grandnieces, one grandnephew, as well as a host of friends.
