He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert O. Benson and Elizabeth Benson (Booth); and his siblings, Lois Dunlap, Myron Benson, Brenda Klein and Jean Clark.
He is survived by: his friend Sue O'Donnell of Southbury, CT.; his children, Dorie LaFlamme (Michael Trudeau) of Woodbury, CT, Aimee Guerrera (Rick Guerrera) of Watertown, CT and Randy Benson of Southbury, CT; his grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Matthew, Morgan, Adrianna (Austin), Sophia, Julian, Jack, Allen and Eli; his sister Sylvia Socci (Tony Socci); his siblings-in-law, Charles Klein and Diane Wilson; his niece Kate MacDougall; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Amanda and Allison.
