He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Phil Puzarne and Ida Puzarne; his wife Wendy Lynn Puzarne; his children, Aaron Puzarne (Claire) and Megan Sokol (Tristan); his grandchildren, Ezra Puzarne, Julian and Sloan Sokol; his siblings, Steven Puzarne and Marilyn Stern (David); his in-laws, Gerry and Dot Williams; his sisters-in-law, Melissa Williams (Susan) and Cindi Grafton (Joe); and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Parente Kamon (Daniel), Noel Parente, Noah Stern, Ethan Puzarne and Sabrina Matlin (Jim).
In 2021, Alan suffered from complications following open heart surgery, a time made especially difficult as COVID kept his family apart during his illness.
