She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Rice and Elizabeth Rice (Burbach); her husband John A. Ray; her daughter Stephanie Jean Bergquist; her sons-in-law, Robert J. Bergquist and Jordan J. Carreira; and her brother Raymond "Pete" Rice, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Charlotte A. Ray of Ormond Beach, FL, James J. Ray of Jensen Beach, FL, Caroline R. Dorian (Peter) of West Hartford, Richard A. Ray (Margaret) of Alton Bay, NH, Donald M. Ray (Tina) of Terryville and Andrew R. Ray of Enfield; and her grandchildren, Christopher R. Bergquist (Cathy) of Windsor, Zachary C. Bergquist (Sarah) of Maynard, MA, Jessica B. Romanzi (Trevor) of Mamaroneck, NY, Bobby Ray, J. Dustin Ray (Amanda) of Orange, Michael J. Carreira (Jessica) of East Granby, Timothy J. Carreira (Maura) of Holyoke, MA, R. Daniel Ray (Katie) of Madbury, NH, Allison Ray of Revelstoke, BC, Sara J. Stankus (Christopher) of Wolfboro, NH and Rachel M. Ray of Newington. She is also survived by her 16 great-grandchildren.
